How can I get money to attend your workshop?
We suggest you make a list of organizations in your community with which you have any kind of relationship. For example: employment, worship, children's/family's activities, volunteerism, friendship/relatives. List them according to strength of relationship. Determine which groups would benefit from or be most interested in you learning about grant writing and resource development. Draft a letter expressing your wish to attend along with how this will benefit the community at large. State the total cost of the workshop and travel including any other sources of assistance you have already. Propose what you will be able to offer them in return for helping you go and what you are able to afford for the whole trip. This has produced exciting results for some people, including job offers.
